Yesterday Jamie and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary.  Of course I had to spend the day working and then I had to go and take a math test before I finally got home to my wonderful wife.  She even surprised me with a home cooked meal, (this rarely happens on Monday's and Wednesdays because I get home so late).
We had a nice time and are going out to celebrate it better this weekend when we both are not so stressed out.

Spring is finally here, with that brings green grass, the kids come out of the woodwork on our street and dandelions.  Although our yard is free on of them thanks to Jamie, we went for a walk this evening and all she could talk about is wanting to go back home and get her little spray bottle dandelion killer.  She was judging an entire yard on the number of pretty yellow flowers that she could see.

She even sprayed some of our neighbors yards to kill them, and now is wanting to start a neighborhood watch to fine people for having them in their yards.  I have never seen anyone on such a mission to kill dandelions as Jamie.  Its actually quite cute to watch her go off on them.

Just kidding about the fines, but she really would like to see them eradicated.

Oooo, I could use one of those dandelion-killers-in-a-bottle. I've got a spray bottle for everything else--one of those just might complete my collection. As it stands now, though, Jamie, my yard desperately needs you. Up for a visit anytime soon...no fines attached?

So Ross may be exaggerating a little bit :) When we go for walks my eyes and mind definitely do not constantly think about those pretty little flowers I find. My dandelion spray bottle which was at least a year old ran out yesterday - I am not planning on a trip to the store TODAY to get a new one.

Jennifer, I definitely recommend the spray bottle very easy & quick to use! Good luck and definitely wish I could come help you out.

it is a complete injustice that one yard can grow little yellow flowers when another can't. therefore jamie, your right is more like a 'responsibility' to eradicate all yellow flowers so no one is left behind. (you should start with a yard out in west omaha...)consider this fact alone: in 2006, there were 739,000 dandelions that were tortured by a withering device called 2-4D. in 2008, that number had jumped to 1,224,000 dandelions. with the increase of tortured-to-death dandelions, that is making for more dandelion-free homes. and it's causing a greater disparity in the dandelion caste system, also known as the dcs.my seeing the disparity of the dcs only increase, we are dividing this nation into the haves

Only three weeks of school left!!  I'm not counting the number of projects, papers, practicals, tests and presentations left though...  Or the number of days until summer classes start...

Posted by: Ross
Its a good thing I only have 3 tests left in 2 classes...

... and the have-nots. just as a u.s. president can now fire a ceo, solving this problem is going to take extraordinary means. jamie, i nominate you for president of the dcsea (dandelion caste system eradication association). let's get this campaign rolling!

It's officially Spring in the Louch household!  The lawns been mowed, aerated and fertilized.  The tulips are colorful, everything is greening up and the fun yard decor is out.  The flannel sheets are off!  If we didn't live in Nebraska the winter coats would also be put away :)

In today's Lincoln Journal-Star they did a review of different web browsers that are on the market these days, and came up with the number one choice of Google Chrome. I have used it and really like it, its much faster than anything else that is out there right now. There are a couple of things that I don't like though. You can't use add-ons like you can in Firefox, such as Ad-Block, which will effectively block any ads from web pages that you visit. Not only to the pages load faster then, you also don't have to deal with flashing ads in your face. I also use a couple of different web developer add-ons at work to make sure that my javascript works and that my css pages will render correctly. In my opinion Google Chrome is a nice little browser that will do what you want it to fast but doesn't have all of the fun toys that Firefox has yet. Stay tuned for more updates.

Sorry about the big blob of text. It seems that Chrome doesn't play nice with the Rich-Text editor that I used on my site...

I really want to comment b/c it's been way too long, but I just don't know what to say in the area of web browsers - I just quit using the good old ie. We're a little slow in this area I guess.

I am strictly a Firefox fan...between Foxmarks (now called Xmarks) , ad-block, and the Mouse gestures add-ons I don't see myself using anything else anytime soon. I occasionally find a page that doesn't render well and have to use IE, but that doesn't work so well on my Linux box.

If you need to use the IE Tab for Firefox...That will render any page using the IE engine, so it should work on Linux (I haven't tried it yet though).
