Well I hope that everyone has survived the Christmas blizzard of 2009.  We had a great time at Jamie's parent's house despite being snowed in and having both her side and my side's Christmas canceled.  We ended up staying an extra couple of days out on the farm so we wouldn't have to drive back on the bad roads.  It turned out ok, we made it back to Lincoln yesterday and on the way stopped at Grandpa & Grandma Knorr's.

Luckily we didn't have to scoop any snow as Jarrod had stopped by on Sunday on his way home and got them dug out.  But we did take some pictures of the huge snow drifts on the west side of the house.  So here they are

This one shows how big the one snow drift is

This one was across the front door almost eye level to Grandma looking out the door.

For those of you that will be at the Knorr Christmas this Saturday I will bring all of them that we took, it really was a lot of snow that was caught up around the house.

Today is my lovely wife Jamie's birthday.  Since a wise person once told me never ask/reveal a woman's age I will leave that up to you to figure out if you are so inclined.  So if you happen to see Jamie around, be sure and wish her a very Happy Birthday!!!

P.S.  Love you honey, and a many more birthdays!!

Can you believe it another year has come and gone. It has been a crazy year around the Louch household again.

Both Jamie and I are still doing the school thing. Although this marks the last semester of actual classes for Jamie. She starts her fieldwork at Lincoln Public Schools on January 4th. After that it is off to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital for her final rotation. She will be done in June, and then it is time to take her board exam, get her license and then back to the “real world”.

We were fortunate to go to Hawaii in May. We went snorkeling, took surfing lessons (harder than it looks but tons of fun), saw a whale and some dolphins. There was also plenty of time for laying out on the beach and lots of hiking trips through the bamboo forest back to an amazing waterfall. It was a wonderful time and we can’t wait to go back!

Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

Love,
Ross & Jamie

This is going to be a really random post so I apologize up front for rambling...

Today we got our second snow of the season, it looks so cool outside with everything covered in white, so fresh and pure...  That feeling will last until its time to get the shovels out and clean off the driveway and sidewalk.  Oh well we don't really have that much to scoop and it didn't snow all that much today.

On a really cool note, Jamie is down to one, count it ONE day of class left.  Then she will be done with her classwork and start field work on January 4th. at Lincoln Public Schools.  She is getting really excited.  I am down to one week of classes left for the semester but I still have quite a while left to go, however next semester should be pretty nice, will be my lightest load so far.  However I will be taking some of the tougher classes this time around.

On a geek note, I have been messing around with Ubuntu 64 bit and I really like it.  This is the first time I have had a 64 bit processor and it really works pretty good.

Like I said this was a rambling post.  Until next time...
