The first HOT day of summer

May
14

The hot weather didn't affect Carson wanting to tell us he wanted to go "outside".  We had a fun time going down the slip n "slide" and running through the sprinkler.  Carson got a little braver to let me push him down the slip n slide part of the way a couple times.  He had to help control how "high" the sprinkler water went.

Shoe difficulties - Carson wasn't so sure about his new sandles and kept having "owies".  He can put his shoes on himself but needs helping getting them on the right feet.

Happy Mothers Day

May
14

I had a great mothers day with my family, Ross and Carson.  Carson made me a present at daycare that I love (he is good at pointing out the letter o in mom).  Ross made me a special photo card and I'm looking forward to my massage package.  Carson was extra cute to make me smile, laugh, and feel happy to have three little angels in heaven.

fubbles

So Carson is talking a lot now and started to say “oh man” when something doesn’t go the way he wants.   So naturally I asked Ross if he said that phrase only to realize and catch myself saying it!  We've been blowing a lot of bubbles with the new no spill container with three wands so we can all take turns instead of always being "my turn" according to Carson.

party

May

A fun weekend of parties and time at grandma and Grandpa Louch's.  Carson went to two birthday parties in one day and excitedly said "more party".  He is starting to get the hang of singing happy birthday but mostly just says happy.  Then I'll say if your happy and you know it and Carson will start clapping his hands.  Such as busy boy baking, coloring on the window, fixing grandpa's pickup until he crashed!

swingset

May

Carson watching dad finish assembling his swingset.  Carson went down the slide over and over laughing and saying "again".  The twenty dollar craigslist find was a good investment.  The red ball in the background is the neighbors and Carson and one of the neighbor girls had fun throwing it over the fence and back.

2 year old conversations

May
06

So before we left for church yesterday Carson was playing with his cows. He picked one up turned it over to look at the bottom and looked back at me all cute "cow poop". He then proceeded to pick up a calf, "calf poop", and the same with a sheep. He then looked over and pointed to his tractor, "tractor poop". I asked if tractors pooped and he answered no in his laughing voice.

ln church he then proceeded to all but yell out poop after Jamie checked his diaper.

Needless to say it was a very interesting morning with our little boy.

Bubbles

Apr
27

So I have been informed that it has been a while since I posted.

Bubbles are a big hit again this year, as well as just turning over the container and dumping out the bubbles just to see what happens.  The other day there was just enough breeze that when Carson would pull out the bubble wand it would make some bubbles and Carson would just giggle and do it again.

That same night his friend from across the street loves chasing the bubbles so they made a great team, as one would make them and the other one would chase.

Snack memories

Apr
27

When growing up I remember my mom making us special snacks sometimes after school and I loved pretzels.  After seeing a recipe on pinterest I decided to give it a try.  The process was nothing like I imaged with Carson waking up from his nap on the cranky side and not really help make them.  Once they were made (which was pretty fast and easy) I realized we didn't have any cheese and a wagon ride to the store cheered up Carson.  We then both enjoyed eating a great snack together.

Bath kind of night!

Apr
27

Bath kind of night!  I picked up Carson from daycare with his wagon and made our way to two parks before meeting up with Ross to finish walking to get supper.  Parks included lots of tree branches and rocks.  It's amazing all the things he can do this year compared to last year: we quickly walked through a lot of the big park, running around without much falling, using his words to tell me when/how long he wanted to swing (still likes the baby swing), climbing the rock wall on both sides without any help, going down the bigger slides and correctly saying the blue slide, climbing on the horse after excitedly pointing and saying horse and pointing to the two other horses and saying his friends names from daycare.

After getting BBQ all over his face and filling out his tummy we headed home. I heard myself say no Carson we don't dump dirt on your head and no we don't fill our shoes with dirt :)  Got to setup and check out the turtle sandbox and explain the rules a couple times about keeping the sand in.   Then explained more rules about not drawing with sidewalk chalk on the house or his face.  The new bubble container (I was smart and bought a small size) is now empty on the lawn as well as extra soap on Carson's clothes for when they got washed. We also learned Carson is not a fan of the neighbor's remote car running into his feet.

Carson was too busy to hold up his artwork animals from daycare.
